The first step to replace the Power Distribution Relay attached to the wire harness involves finding the relay and removing all its holding screws. Before installation you need to remove both Connector Position Assurance devices and secondary locks from the position. Wear caution to remove the relay from wire harness connector because the attachment may require precise handling of fasteners or tape. Installing the relay requires connecting it to the wire harness connector followed by CPA device and secondary lock reinstallation before using original fasteners or tape for security.

The replacement of the power distribution relay inside the electrical center begins by taking off the electrical center cover. Set the relay in its proper place and log down its positioning before securing the electrical center to protect wires from damage. The Relay Puller Pliers (J 43244) should be placed on opposing relay corners before pulling it directly out from the electrical center terminals because pliers or flat-bladed tools can potentially harm the electrical center. Place the newly installed relay into the identical position of the extracted relay unit followed by reinstating the electrical center cover.

Begin the Power Distribution Relay substitute process by securing the relay fixture on the wire harness and removing all fasteners and connector position assurance (CPA) devices as well as secondary locks. Caution is necessary during relay detachment from the wiring harness due to wire harness fasteners or tape usage. First disconnect the relay from the wire harness connector by itself. When installing the relay connect it to the wire harness connector while also replacing secondary locks and restoring CPA devices before applying the original securing hardware or tape.

It is crucial to pull the relay straight out using the J 43244 to prevent damage to the electrical center; avoid using pliers or flat-bladed tools.

Secure the relay using the original fasteners or tape.
