  The replacement of oil level indicator and tube requires first unbolt the oil level indicator tube bolt followed by removing the oil level indicator tube from the engine block. Check the o-ring seal to see if it needs replacement or can stay in service for the tube. Cut and serious damage require immediate o-ring removal from the tube. Clean engine oil must be applied to the o-ring seal before installing a fresh o-ring seal onto the oil level indicator tube when needed. Mount the oil level indicator tube against the Exhaust Manifold while simultaneously placing it near the engine block and hoist up the vehicle for support. Place the oil level indicator tube into the block so that the collar remains parallel to the block and then lower the vehicle. Screw in the oil level indicator tube bolt and tighten it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) before putting on the oil indicator itself.
