Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Fuse Box Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Fuse Box in the Body Wiring Harness Junction Block on Chevrolet Silverado 2500?
A: You should start the replacement of the body wiring harness junction block by unscrewing the cover retaining nut followed by removing the cover by pressing the tabs. The junction block requires detachment from the harness at its front position followed by tab pressing until the junction block frees from the bracket. The rear of the block requires access to detach retaining bolts as a screwdriver separates the junction block from the wire harness block. The junction block needs to be taken out from the vehicle. You should install the wire harness block to the junction block while following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions then secure the retaining bolts at 6 N.m (53 lb in). Position the junction block onto its bracket with a gentle push of the top section that results in a clicking sound followed by harness plug-in at the junction block front. Place the cover by clicking its installation position then screw the retaining nut manually until it is securely seated.
