To remove the
Spark Plug Wires, you need to remove them from the Spark Plug by twisting the boot in a 1/2 turn and pull only the boot. Next, pull out the wires from the
Ignition Coil by the same twisting pulling technique. It is important that one uses melco(R) Spark Plug Wires strictly with melco(R) coils and brackets and delphi(R) Spark Plug Wires with delphi(R) coils and brackets as the two sets of parts are not interchangeable. The melco(R) Spark Plug wire has a blue foil mark and 145 mm (5.70 in) from cable seal to cable seal, on the other hand, the delphi(R) Spark Plug wire has a white foil mark and 110 mm (4.30 in) from cable seal to cable seal. The Ignition Coil of melco(R) is a square one but the delphi(R) ignition coil is round. The Ignition Coil bracket by melco(R) is square in shape while the one by delphi (R) is round. For installation one has to connect the Spark Plug Wires to the Ignition Coil and next to the Spark Plug. Finally, bring the boot of the Spark Plug wire to see if it has been properly installed by pushing sideways on each boot to ensure proper seating and re-install any loose boot.
