How to replace the Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) on a 4WD on Chevrolet Silverado 2500?

Raise your 4wd vehicle to replace the Wheel Speed Sensor through tire removal. Remove the brake rotor specific to the 1500 series operating system. Remove the wss cable mounting clips from all three parts of the suspension system before taking off the wss cable electrical connector. Use the correct tools to eliminate the wss mounting bolt then slowl y remove the Wheel Speed Sensor from its location in the hub/bearing assembly of the 2500/3500 series to stop potential damage to the sensor. Before installing the new sensor you need to plug the hub opening to shield it from dirt entry. Clean the hub attachment area with a wire brush and apply a thin coat of wheel bearing lubricant gm p/n 01051344 to both the hub component and o-ring. Install the wss into the hub/bearing assembly and push it evenly flat before tightening the wss mounting bolt to 18 nm (13 ft. Lbs.). Install brake rotor and tire assembly after placing the wss cable mountings on the frame and Control Arm components and connecting electrical wss harness.
