How to replace the wiper motor on Chevrolet Silverado 2500?

To start the wiper motor replacement you need to remove the wiper arms and air inlet grille panel first before removing the 4 panel bolts. Disconnect the motor electrical wires and free the two bolts to extract the wiper transmission assembly. The Wiper Transmission Separator tool (J 39232) enables you to detach the drive link from the wiper motor crank arm. Once done, unscrew the 2 bolts holding the wiper motor and extract it from the wiper transmission assembly. Secure the wiper motor onto wiper transmission assembly through two bolt holes by torquing them to 8 N.m (71 lb in). Fit the wiper motor crank arm's drive link with the Wiper Transmission Installer (J 39529) and reinstall wiper transmission assembly to the car with 2 bolts at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Fit the electrical wire to the wiper motor before securing the 4 reinforcement panel bolts with 9 N.m (80 lb in) torque. After connecting the wiper arms put back the grille panel and air inlet and test the wipers to make sure they work correctly.
