    Q:
How to Replace the Rear Wiper Motor on an XUV on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before installing a new rear Wiper Motor you need to take off the Wiper Arm and weatherseal from their position on the motor pivot shaft. First you should detach the inner trim panel from the endgate area and then pull out the rear endgate window. Detach the Wiper Motor electrical connector before you take off the Wiper Motor bolts and nuts (1, 3) that link the endgate assembly for motor removal. Put the Wiper Motor in place on the endgate then attach it with two bolts at 8 n.m torque. Attach the nuts to their locations and apply the specified tightening force. Install the Wiper Motor electrical connector while putting back the endgate window. Then place the trim panel back onto its proper position on the endgate. Put the spacer in the correct position at the Wiper Motor shaft and put back on the Wiper Arm. Check that the rear wiper system runs correctly as the last step.
