    Q:
How to replace the wiper arm on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
Removing the Wiper Arm requires two steps: first remove the cover from the Wiper Arm's nut before holding the Wiper Arm to remove its nut. Apply inward pressure at the Wiper Arm pivot to gain loose separation from the Drive Shaft then continue with removal steps. If the Wiper Arm does not come off a battery terminal puller will be needed as an additional removal tool. After loosening the Wiper Arm from its pivot shaft position remove it completely along with the Wiper Arm blade from the arm itself. Run a wire brush on the Drive Shaft knurls until clean. Begin Wiper Blade installation by putting the Wiper Arm blade onto the Wiper Arm followed by placing the Wiper Arm on the Drive Shaft. Use the windshield blackout dots to align the Wiper Arm blade then fasten the Drive Shaft nut until it reaches 30 n.m (22 lb ft) torque. The wiper function should be checked after you replace the cover on the nut.

    Q:
How to replace the wiper arm on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by removing the protective cover from the wiper nut and grip the arm firmly before taking out its mounting nut. A battery terminal puller requires you to push inward at the Wiper Arm pivot to disconnect it from the Drive Shaft if rocking fails to loosen it. After removing the Wiper Arm push the Wiper Arm blade off its spindle and scrub the Drive Shaft knurls with a wire brush. First attach the Wiper Arm blade to its arm before putting the arm onto the Drive Shaft. Reverse the Wiper Blade properly over the dots in the tinted windshield area before attaching the nut at the Drive Shaft and tightening it to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). After putting the nut cover back in place use the wiper control to check if everything works right.
