How to replace the wiper arm on 2005 Buick Rainier?

Before you replace the Wiper Arm you need to open the nut cover then hold the Wiper Arm while unscrewing the nut. A gentle push at the Wiper Arm pivot will release it from the Drive Shaft. If this method fails, use a battery terminal puller tool (part J-45678) for proper removal. You can remove both ends when the Wiper Arm has been loosened from the pivot shaft and detached from the Wiper Arm blade. Use a wire brush to clean the knurl marks on the Drive Shaft surface. The Wiper Arm blade should first be attached to the Wiper Arm then fitted over the Drive Shaft. Join the Wiper Arm to the dots marked in the windshield blackout and fasten the Drive Shaft nut after adjusting it to 30 n.m torque as labeled in the fastener info. Check the wiper functionality when you put back the cover and tighten the nut.
