  A: A 1500 crew cab filler tube replacement process begins with body torx(r) screws and retainer removal of the Fuel Tank filler housing before using a socket set to detach the filler housing to Fuel Tank fill pipe bolts for finally removing the Fuel Tank filler housing. Start by supporting the vehicle partially then unfasten the ground wire bolt from the fill pipe before separating the frame connection of said wire. Begin replacement of the Fuel Tank fill pipe by loosening its clamp at the Fuel Tank then disconnecting the quick connect recirculation line fitting on top of the Fuel Tank. Secure an opening cap to the Fuel Tank to stop contamination. Installation requires the operator to remove the tank opening cap then mount the Fuel Tank fill pipe followed by attaching the recirculation line quick connect fitting to the tank opening. The Fuel Tank fill pipe clamp at the tank requires a torque of 2.5 n.m (22 lb in) for tightening. Next position the Fuel Tank fill pipe ground wire on the frame while placing the anti-rotation tab correctly and finish the installation by distributing 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque on the ground wire bolt.
