Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic Fuel Injector Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the fuel injector on Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic?
A: The Fuel Rail needs removal before extracting both the Fuel Injector retainer clip and Fuel Injector from their installation position. The vehicle must receive two disposal procedures applying to both the Fuel Injector retainer clip and Fuel Injector O-Ring seals (2, 4). New fuel injectors should be ordered according to the application since the Fuel Injector carries identification part numbers and four-digit production codes which display production month, day, year and manufacturing shift. Apply clean engine oil to the new injector ring seals (2, 4) before you install them onto the Fuel Injector. You must secure a retainer clip to the Fuel Injector before inserting the Fuel Injector into the Fuel Rail injector socket with the outside facing direction while the clip needs to engage at the flange on the socket. Finally, reinstall the Fuel Rail.
