Chevrolet SSR A/C Hose Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the liquid line A/C hose on Chevrolet SSR?
A: Recovery of refrigerant becomes the first step for replacing the liquid line. Begin by removing the bolt at the liquid line of the condenser and the nut at the TXV liquid line before taking out the liquid line from the vehicle along with discarding all used sealing washers and capping the system openings. The installation of the liquid line hose assembly requires new sealing washers during the TXV connection while following the steps of removing the caps. Secure the TXV liquid line nut with 20 N.m torque (15 lb ft) before placing the liquid line bolt on the condenser and tightening this bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft). The process ends with evacuation of A/C system components along with recharging and testing their fittings for leaks using the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A).
