Chevrolet SSR A/C Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Switch control module on Chevrolet SSR?
A: Start by taking out the storage compartment and instrument panel trim panel and lower right knee bolster to replace the HVAC Control Module. Start by removing HVAC Control Module retaining screws followed by pushing the module forward through the storage compartment. Remove the electrical connector which attaches to the HVAC Control Module. Establish the electrical connection to the HVAC Control Module before installing the module with retaining screws that require a 1.6 n.m (14 lb in) torque setting. Reinstall the instrument panel trim first followed by the right knee bolster. Self-calibration requires complete avoidance of HVAC Control Module control changes to prevent hvac performance irregularities. Finally, reinstall the storage compartment.
