How to replace the front door striker on Chevrolet SSR?

Start by removing screws that hold the door striker before uninstalling the strikers along with their shims. Next install the shim striker using screws and tighten them to 24 N.m (18 lb ft). After that install the shim striker then fasten it securely with screws. Close the door while checking for proper alignment of the door striker before opening the door and screw tightening at 24 N.m (18 lb ft).
