In order to replace the valve lifters, untidy the
Intake Manifold, then proceed to the valley
Rocker Arm and pushrods. Second, extract the valve lifter guide retainer bolts and retainer, then remove the valve lifter guides. Camshaft is mounted, replace all the valve lifters. Apply lubricant gm U.S. P/N-12345501 or canada P/N 992704 or the equivalent to the valve lifter rollers. In reusing the valve lifters, please install them to their original position and make sure the valve lifter guides retainer is in contact with all of the valve lifter guides. If the retainer is bent, it needs to be replaced. Carry on and install the valve lifters, after that, slide the valve lifter guides over the flats of the valve lifters, with the rollers in alignment to the lobes of the Camshaft. Install valve lifter guide retainer and valve lifter guide retainer bolts and tighten them to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Lastly, reinstall the valve rocker arms and the pushrods as well as the Intake Manifold.
