How to service the MAP Sensor on Chevrolet Tahoe?

The first step to servicing a manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor involves removing the sight shield fasteners from the Intake Manifold while separating the shield. You need to start by detaching the MAP Sensor electrical connector before disconnecting the sensor from the Intake Manifold. Engineers should apply a thin layer of clean engine oil to the sensor seal right before MAP Sensor installation. Insert the MAP Sensor into the retainer through downward pressure before connecting the MAP Sensor electrical connector. Tighten the fasteners on the Intake Manifold sight shield until they reach 10 n.m (89 lb in).
