How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Chevrolet Tahoe?

The first step to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor requires vehicle elevation and proper support. First remove the engine wiring harness sleeve and next disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. Wipe clean the sensor area to keep dirt out of the engine before uninstalling both the CKP sensor bolt and sensor itself. Set the CKP sensor into its proper position and torques the CKP sensor bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
