The TPS also known as the Chevrolat Tahoe Throttle Position Sensor is a great component that boosts the performance and efficiency of Chevrolet Tahoe automobiles. This sensor carefully observes the position of the throttle in order to adjust the air-fuel mixture for proper combustion as reported by the engine computer. Whereas, the Throttle Position Sensor works to control the flow of fuel according to the power required, it further enables well intermitted acceleration and deceleration thus relates both efficiency and safety. Suitable for different Tahoe generations, ranging from the first to the fifth, the TPS has developed from earlier potentiometric types to more sophisticated non-contact varieties that use the Hall effect, induction or magnetoresistance. To enhancement of the reliability and performance level of the Throttle Position Sensors, the modern types are produced to suit higher temperatures and are made resistant to wear. Also, the connection of accelerator pedal sensors with TPS enhance the throttle within the Chevrole Tahoe's fully electronic system making it a technological car among others. The Chevrolet Tahoe with its sublimely strong power and large interior space has acquired a status of a popular vehicle for many people, starting with families and ending up with police and military. New V8 engines and the most recent 3.0L Duramax I6 turbo diesel model makes the Chevrolet Tahoe to stand tall with superior performance. This success could not have been possible without the Throttle Position Sensor because it maintains the Chevrolet Tahoe as a market leader vehicle noted for efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Chevrolet Tahoe Throttle Position Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet Tahoe?
    A:
You need to begin Throttle Position Sensor maintenance by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. After disconnecting the position (TP) sensor electrical connector begin by removing the generator. Start by unscrewing the tp sensor attaching screws during the sensor disassembly process and then extract both the sensor and its o-ring seal from the position. Install the tp sensor o-ring seal onto the tp sensor first then set the tp sensor onto the Throttle Body when the throttle valve rests in the closed position maintaining proper alignment of the tp sensor lever with the tp sensor drive lever on the throttle shaft. Attach and screw in the tp sensor attaching screws before tightening them to 2 n.m (18 lb in). Connect the tp sensor electrical connector first then install the generator and complete the installation by reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
