The Harmonic Balancer service requires you to disconnect the negative
Battery Cable followed by draining the cooling system. Take off the upper
Radiator Hose leading from the Thermostat Housing before removing all four fen nuts while also unfastening the four
Radiator shroud fasteners without damaging the Radiator during fan uninstallation. At first tilt the shroud toward the engine before disconnecting the fan from the pulley hub and finally taking out the shroud and fan together. Drain the coolant system after disconnecting the negative cable and then remove the air conditioner compressor
Drive Belt before adjusting the generator bolt position and taking off the generator Drive Belt. Remove the coolant pump pulley as well as the five crankshaft timing pulley bolts and crankshaft timing pulley from the engine. When installing, place the crankshaft timing pulley onto the crankshaft timing sprocket and fasten the five crankshaft timing pulley bolts . The crankshaft timing sprocket bolt should also be secured if it was previously disconnected; tighten both parts to 16 nm (12 ft. Lbs.) crankshaft timing pulley bolts and 130 nm (96 ft. Lbs.) crankshaft timing sprocket bolt. Place the coolant pump pulley onto its respective position on the coolant pump before fitting the generator Drive Belt. The installation of the fan-shroud unit should be done carefully followed by tightening fan nuts to 11 nm (8 ft. Lbs.) with the four fen nuts and Radiator shroud fasteners. The repair process ends with upper Radiator Hose reattachment to the Thermostat Housing and necessary cooling system fluid refills followed by negative Battery Cable connection while tightening the cable bolt to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.).
