A: Why and how to replace the auxiliary air temperature actuator: To do this, start to remove the right rear quarter trim panel. Unplug the electrical connector of the air temperature actuator, but before you do, take out the retaining screws of the actuator. Remove the air temperature actuator from the rear HVAC module. Start by placing the new air temperature actuator on the rear HVAC module and fasten it with the screws by tightening it to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).
