  After verifying the parking brake application status you should free it and elevate the vehicle before proceeding. Remove the wheel and tire. Guide the shoe up and underneath the hold down spring so that both tips rest properly inside the actuation mechanism slots when the assembly reaches the central position on the backing plate. Rule out brake malfunctions by operating the park brake actuator lever to watch the mechanism work. Finish the installation by connecting the park brake cable to the lever, readjusting the park Brake Shoe before you put on the rotor and caliper along with its bracket. Proceed to install the tire and wheel before lowering the vehicle.
