How to replace the liftgate hinge on Chevrolet Uplander?

Start replacing the liftgate hinge by taking out the liftgate and then removing the headliner. Draw hinge placement with a grease pencil on the body. Afterward remove all retaining nuts from the vehicle roof and dismount the hinge part. Put the hinge in position by lining up its marks with the vehicle body marks and follow the Fastener Notice to keep the vehicle safe during installation. Secure the new liftgate hinge through its retaining nuts. Tighten the hinge studs to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) torque. Inject the headliner back into its proper position after reconnecting the liftgate.
