  Before working on brake pads you should extract 2/3 of the brake fluid from the master cylinder. Lift the car to work on it and take off the tire while pulling out the wheel components. To proceed first take off the backing plate bolts for 15/25 series and then eliminate brake pads from caliper brackets of both series, disposing of clips found inside. Check the caliper and mounting bracket first and then place the clips inside the caliper mounting bracket hollow area while fitting brake pads onto it both for 15 series and 25 series applications. Keep the number of wear indicators correct for inner and outer pads. Put the caliper mounting bracket on the backing plate assembly of (15 series) and (25 series). Apply threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 or red loctite (TM) #272 to the bolt threads after cleaning the brake parts cleaner from the bolt threads and removing any remaining old adhesive. Secure the caliper mounting bracket bolts into the Steering Knuckle by tightening them to 200 n.m (148 lb ft) for (15 series) and 165 n.m (122 lb ft) for (25 series). Reinstall the caliper after putting back the wheel assembly then take off protection stands to lower the car. Place new brake fluid into the master cylinder then press the brake pedal at a slow and strong pace to let brake pads find their position while also performing brake burnishing when required.

  Start working on front Brake Pad replacement by removing two-thirds of the fluid from the master cylinder then lifting and stabilizing the vehicle. Uninstall the tire and wheel components. Check the caliper function before taking it off and suspend the caliper onto the bike frame with a heavy wire instead of using the brake hose. Pull out the caliper bolts from their bracket mounting points and take off the bracket from the Steering Knuckle piece. Then remove the brake pads from their mounting position. Check the caliper and mounting bracket while removing hardware clips from their inside ends. Place the clips on the mounting bracket's inner ends first before fitting the brake pads with the inner pad at position 11 containing a wear indicator and the outer pad at positions 2 also marked with wear indicators. Install the caliper mounting bracket on the Steering Knuckle while using threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 or red loctite (TM) #272 on the bolt threads to hold it tightly. Clean the threads thoroughly before endorsing and torquing the bolts to their specified settings. Screw the brake caliper mounting bracket to 175 n.m (129 lb ft) for 15 series and 300 n.m (221 lb ft) for 25 series. Position the new caliper on its place and add the wheel assembly with tire. After removing blocks for safety you can let the vehicle down. Fill the master cylinder with fresh brake fluid until it reaches the correct mark then push and hold the brake pedal firmly for Brake Pad seating. If needed perform brake burnishing.
