How to replace the wiper motor on GMC C2500?

Start the replacement process by getting only two items: Wiper Transmission Separator (J 39232) and Wiper Transmission Installer (J 39529). Unbolt both wiper arms before the air inlet grille panel needs to be gone. Unbolt the four pieces that hold the reinforcement panel while removing the electrical socket from the wiper motor. Dismantle the wiper transmission assy by taking out its two mounting bolts for vehicle removal. Unplug the wiper motor from the transmission with the Wiper Transmission Separator (J 39232) while separating the drive link from the crank arm. Then take out the 2 installation bolts and remove the wiper motor from the assembly. Secure the wiper motor onto the wiper transmission assembly by fitting the two bolts and turning them to 8 N.m (71 lb in). Install the wiper transmission installer tool (J 39529) to attach the drive link to the wiper motor crank arm and put back the wiper transmission assembly with two bolts that require torque setting at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Put the electrical connector back on the wiper motor and bolt the panel with four screws at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Put back the wiper arms and air inlet grille panel. Check that the wipers work correctly by activating them.
