The first step to replace the torque converter clutch/cruise control release switch involves disconnecting its electrical connector. You should first unlock the retainer by pushing the locking tabs inward followed by counterclockwise rotation of the switch from the brake pedal bracket and finally pulling the switch free from the retainer. Before putting the torque converter clutch/cruise control release switch into position, insert the switch retainer through the brake pedal bracket until locking tabs reach full engagement followed by switch connector connection to the switch body. Complete the adjustment of the torque converter clutch/cruise control release switch.
