Drop the air cleaner assembly, unplug the ground lead from the outlet of the coolant, remove the bolt/stud and the bolt on the outlet of the coolant to remove the coolant outlet and the Thermostat. Clean all its parts and sealing surfaces properly. For installation, put the Thermostat back in place followed by the coolant outlet. Mount the bolt and bolt/stud and torque to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) and reconnect the ground lead to the bolt/stud. Replace the air cleaner assembly and fill in the coolant. Finally, run the engine and monitor for leaks once it has heated up to normal operating temperature.
