How to Service and Repair a Fuel Filler Hose on a Cutaway Van Side Tank on GMC Savana 2500?

The first step to repair or service the Fuel Filler Hose on a cutaway van side tank involves disconnecting the Battery Cable while cleaning all fuel hose connections together with their surrounding areas to avoid fuel system contamination. The service technician should drain the fuel from below the Fuel Tank fill hose level by removing the fuel filler cap. The driver must first raise the vehicle before unclamping the fuel fill hose at positions (2) and (3) so they can remove the hose while capping the exposed Fuel Tank end. Install the fuel fill hose on the Fuel Tank by removing its cap then tighten clamps (2, 3) to 2.75 n.m (24 lb in). Let the vehicle lower to ground level while resetting the Fuel Tank with its cap before connecting the negative Battery Cable.
