Q: How to replace the blower motor resistor on GMC Sierra 1500?
A: The first step to install the Blower Motor Resistor is to take out the ip sound insulator if present. Detach both electrical cables from the Blower Motor and from the Blower Motor Resistor. Unscrew and extract the Blower Motor Resistor's holding screws. Insert the new Blower Motor Resistor into place and make sure to follow all instructions mentioned in the service precautions fastener notice. Install the resistor using its retaining screws before twisting them to 1.6 n.m force. Reattach electrically both the motor resistor and the Blower Motor unit. Reinstall the ip sound insulator last when it is present.
