    Begin the motor replacement task by disconnecting the electrical component at the Blower Motor and severing the connection to the Blower Motor Resistor assembly. Install the Blower Motor Resistor assembly by placing it back in correct position and following the fastener notice found in service precautions. Secure the new parts with the retaining screws and tighten them to 1.6 n.m. Rejoin the electrical wiring first to the Blower Motor Resistor assembly and then to the Blower Motor.

Use the retaining screws to install the resistor and tighten them to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). After that, plug in the Blower Motor Resistor electrical wires first and then connect the Blower Motor.
