Unplug the electrical wires from both the Blower Motor and the Blower Motor Resistor. Bring out the Blower Motor Resistor by removing its retaining screws. After putting the new Blower Motor Resistor in place you must fasten it with retaining screws. Torque the screws to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in) according to the fastener notice. Afterward reconnect the Blower Motor Resistor to its power supply and then to the Blower Motor. Reinstall the ip sound shield only if the vehicle has this part.
