Blower Motor

Start your work by removing the sound insulator panel when it comes with your vehicle. Start by releasing the screws that hold the blower motor insulating cover and separate the electrical connector from the blower motor. You can remove the blower motor by first taking off its insulation cover. Push down on the retaining tab followed by rotating the motor counterclockwise from the heater/ventilation module to finish extraction. Set the new blower motor in place and rotate it clockwise until the retaining tab clicks into position. Install the insulating cover first before plugging the electrical connector into the blower motor. Secure its support screws by turning them until they reach 1.6 N.m (14 lb in). Reattach the sound insulators when the system has them.

The replacement process of the auxiliary blower motor begins with removing the right rear quarter trim panel followed by disconnecting electrical connectors. The blower motor must be removed from the auxiliary HVAC module after removing its screws. Start by detaching the retaining clip from the fan cage before taking out the fan cage from the blower motor. You must attach the fan cage to the blower motor before using the retaining clip for installation. Reinstall the blower motor onto the auxiliary HVAC module by securing it with the corresponding blower motor screws while tightening them to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). Complete the installation by putting back the right rear quarter trim then restating all electrical connectors.

First you need to take off the right rear quarter trim panel and disconnect all power connections to reach the blower motor. Unscrew the blower motor mounting points before extracting it from the auxiliary HVAC module. Pull off the retaining clip from the fan cage before taking the fan cage out of the blower motor. Secure the fan cage onto the blower motor by inserting it into the proper position then fastening it with the retaining clip. Put the blower motor correctly in place on the auxiliary HVAC module and tighten it with the motor screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). Reattach all electrical plugs after installing the right rear quarter trim.

The Blower Motor replacement process starts by removing the sound insulator panel before disconnecting the electrical connector from visteon and unscrewing the mounting points on the Blower Motor. Remove the Blower Motor first from its position in the hvac module then remove its retainer from the Blower Motor impeller before taking the motor impeller out of the Blower Motor. First put the Blower Motor impeller on the Blower Motor and fasten it with a new retainer. Place the Blower Motor back into the hvac module and fasten it with 2 n.m (18 lb in) torque. Reattach the electrical connector to the Blower Motor then put back the sound insulator panel.

Reattach the blower motor insulating cover and connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.

Remove the sound insulator panel if equipped.

Ensure to install the insulating cover screws and tighten them to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).
