The procedure to replace the radiator outlet hose for a 4.3l engine requires starting with the detachment of the maf/iat sensor from the air inlet tube through clamp removal before eliminating the pcv hose connection from the air cleaner outlet duct. Start by removing the retaining wing nut from the assembly to pivot the air inlet tube with resonator against the
Throttle Body for hinge clip release. Starting with cooling system drainage empty the fluid before moving on to relocate radiator outlet hose clamps at surge tank and
Water Pump and extracting the radiator outlet hose from surge tank and Water Pump components. Afterwards position the clamp at the radiator while removing the hose from this location. The installation begins with attaching the new radiator outlet hose sequentially between the radiator and Water Pump and surge tank while readjusting all clamps. Set the hinge clip along the Throttle Body lip before you pivot down the installation of air inlet tube and resonator until the mounting stud locks into the air inlet tube hole. Fasten the resonator through the retaining wing nut while you reattach the pcv hose before putting in the maf/iat sensor assembly with the air inlet duct. Tighten its clamps to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Finally, fill the cooling system.
