How to replace the Fan Shroud Upper on a manual transmission gasoline on GMC Sierra 1500 Classic?

The replacement process for the engine coolant fan upper shroud starts with unclamping the air cleaner outlet duct from the Throttle Body and mass airflow sensor before removing the duct. At first remove the Throttle Body heater hose retainer and the inlet radiator hose retainer which are fitted to the Fan Shroud only if equipped. The first step requires removal of the Fan Shroud retainers before unscrewing the bolts while the upper Fan Shroud comes off last. When installing the upper Fan Shroud position it properly then attach the Fan Shroud bolts before tightening them to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Install the retainers first then secure the inlet radiator hose and its Throttle Body heater retainer when equipped. Fasten the air cleaner outlet duct onto the Throttle Body with 4 nm torque and the mass airflow sensor clamp with identical torque setting.
