Raise the car for service and remove both tire and wheel to access the wss sensor on 4 wheel drive front components. You need to remove the brake rotor according to the instructions provided for the 1500 series model. Disconnect the wss cable mounting clip from all three points: knuckle, upper
Control Arm, and the frame. After that, take off the electrical wss cable connector. Carefully take out the wss unit from the hub on 2500/3500 trucks by unscrewing the mounting bolt without prying to avoid breaking the sensor parts. Apply gm p/n 01051344 bearing grease to both wss hub surface and sensor o-ring before installing it. Fit the wss onto the hub/bearing assembly while maintaining its flat base position before tightening the wss mounting bolt to 18 nm (13 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the brace rotor to its designated position on the 1500 series design then link the wss cable mounting components to the frame, wheel assembly, and Control Arm. Additionally, establish power connection for the wss cable and fit tire and wheel components. Follow these steps while diagnosing a vehicle under system check procedure.
