How to replace the wheel speed sensor on a 4WD pickup on GMC Sonoma?

You must lift a 4wd pickup and take off its tire first before the brake caliper hub and rotor followed by Wheel Speed Sensor replacement. Start by taking off the Wheel Speed Sensor mounting clips from the Control Arm and frame rail before disconnecting the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector and unscrewing the sensor mounting bolt. Keep the sensor body intact when pulling it directly from the bore by hand instead of using tools. Keep the stainless steel shim attached to the bearing assembly since all parts need replacement if it gets damaged to work correctly with the sensor and abs system. Keep the bearing lubricant clean when replacing the Wheel Speed Sensor to maintain its effectiveness. Place the new Wheel Speed Sensor into the hub with its fresh o-ring that should only receive a small amount of bearing grease before being fitted into the clean housing. Fasten the Wheel Speed Sensor with 18 nm torque setting then plug in electrical connector and attach the mounting clips from their frames as intended. First put back the wheel hub rotor Wheel Speed Sensor brake caliper and tire.
