How to replace the canister purge valves on GMC Yukon XL 1500?

The first step in replacing the EVAP canister purge valves is to take off the engine sight shield. To disconnect the EVAP pipe from its installation on the EVAP purge solenoid one must push the evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe quick connect fitting retainer inward. The first step is to unplug the EVAP purge solenoid electrical connector before using a socket to remove the EVAP purge solenoid mount bolt. Pull the EVAP purge solenoid while pulling out both the insulator from the engine compartment. Set the insulator into position on the EVAP canister purge valves before implementing its installation on the engine. Secure the EVAP canister purge valves mount bolt with 10.5 N.m torque while tightening it to 93 lb in. Connect the EVAP pipe by joining it to the EVAP canister purge valves and then join the electrical connector. Conclude the process by putting back the engine sight shield.
