To replace crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, make sure that ignition key is off or lock and all electrical loads are off; tool may contact live terminals, therefore always disconnect the negative
Battery Cable throughout the tools to prevent injuries and damages. Start with lifting the vehicle and removing the Starter. Unplug the ckp sensor electrical connector and clean the surrounding of the sensor so that debris does not enter into the engine. Remove ckp sensor retaining fastener and then the ckp sensor it self. To install the ckp sensor put it in place, fastened with the retaining fastener, and tighten to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). As for the ckp sensor, you must reestablish the electrical connector to it, reinstall the Starter, lower the vehicle, and reattach the negative Battery Cable.
