Q: How to replace the front side door window Weather Strip on GMC Yukon XL 1500?
A: Begin the Front Side Door Window weather strip replacement by first removing the door trim panel together with the water deflector and the window. You must first remove one screw then carefully focus the weather strip from its position in front of the glass run channel and atop the window frame flange and back of the glass run channel before removing it from the door opening. Install the new weather strip by putting it into position at the front of the glass run channel as well as the top of the window frame flange and the rear of the glass run channel. Place the bolts correctly before you tighten them to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Reinstall the window followed by the water deflector before setting the door trim panel in place. Finally inspect the operation of the window for proper functionality.
