Begin repairing the valve Rocker Arm and push rods by first reverting the valve Rocker Arm cover then note down and sort all parts for reconstruction purposes. The maintenance operation requires removal of valve rocker arms and their supports together with valve pushrods. Check and assess the valve Rocker Arm as well as the valve Pushrod after cleaning them thoroughly. Follow this procedure when installing parts by maintaining their order and returning them to their default positions. The first step for valve Pushrod installation requires positioning the valve Rocker Arm support arrow in an upward direction before adding the valve Rocker Arm supports. His all parts with prelude gm p/n 12345501 or equivalent before installing them onto the contact surfaces that include the valve Pushrod socket , roller pivot , and valve stem tip . Begin by starting each valve Rocker Arm assembly bolt at position and before proceeding to the other bolt locations. The technician should rotate the crankshaft balancer until the crankshaft balancer alignment mark faces 57 to 63 degrees relative to the engine front cover alignment tab either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Valve Rocker Arm assemblies need no further adjustment after installation and correct torquing because the adjustment is already accomplished. Establish the valve Rocker Arm bolts at 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) torque along with the procedure of installing the valve Rocker Arm cover.

The first step for valve Rocker Arm and push rod replacement requires the disconnect of the negative Battery Cable. The first step requires removal of the valve Rocker Arm covers present on the Cylinder Head. The removal of push rod becomes possible when you first reduce the valve Rocker Arm bolt torque so it does not hinder the push rod extraction. Start by removing the valve Rocker Arm bolt from the Cylinder Head and then proceed to take out both the valve Rocker Arm as well as the guide before placing everything in proper order for reassembly. The first step is to pull out the Pushrod from inside the engine block. When putting the part together position the Pushrod into the correct area of the valve lifter followed by smearing clean engine oil over both bearing surfaces on the new valve Rocker Arm and balls. Put the Pushrod into the engine block followed by fixing the valve Rocker Arm bolt onto the Cylinder Head and tightening it to 54 nm (40 Nm ft. Lbs.). Install the valve Rocker Arm cover after completing valve arm weapon replacement procedures while restoring Battery Cable connections.

Start by removing the valve Rocker Arm cover then keeping used components safe for reinstallation. You must first remove the valve Rocker Arm nut from its place. The valve Rocker Arm can be moved away from the Pushrod after users back off the valve Rocker Arm nut. This allows for removal of the valve Pushrod. After removing the valve Rocker Arm nut rise the valve Rocker Arm while taking out its Rocker Arm ball and Pushrod. The installation process starts with a parts inspection followed by clean-up then implementation of valve pushrods and valve rocker arms installation. Adjust the valve lash to the correct specifications before securement of valve Rocker Arm covers.

Proceed to remove the valve rocker arm along with the valve rocker arm ball, and clean and inspect all parts.

Place the valve pushrods and valve rocker arms back in position, adjust the valve lash, and finally install the valve rocker arm covers.
