Bearing Set, Front

The balance shaft and its front bearing remain attached during service work so do not separate them. Start by taking out the balance shaft then proceed to take off the balance shaft rear bearing. You should put the balance shaft rear bearing in first and later position the balance shaft.

To remove the balance shaft bearing and the balance shaft bushing, the following tools are needed: J 26941 (Bushing/Bearing Remover), J 33834 ("Balance Shaft Service Kit"), etc. First, remove the balance shaft while putting on safety glasses. Secure the legs behind the balance shaft rear bearing with the J 26941 and install the J 38834-1 with short threaded end through balance shaft bore on the front of the engine block. Slide the J 38834-2 into the balance shaft bore and onto the J 38834-1, and then install the J 38834 bearing, washer, and nut onto the J 38834-1. When mating the J 38834-1, make sure to tighten the nut using a wrench and rotate it clockwise to disconnect the balance shaft rear bearing from the engine block, after which remove the old bearing. For Installation, J 38834 install the new balance shaft rear bearing (penetrating J 38834 long threaded end with nut, washer, and bearing). Insulated with J 38834-3 on short threaded end of J 38834-1. Mount the J 38834-2 diametrically opposite to the front of the engine block and insert it into the balance shaft front bearing bore. Grease the new balance shaft rear bearing with clean engine oil and mount it on to the J 38834-2 and align it up for fitting. Make sure to secure the J 38834-1 with the wrench as you rotate the J 38834 nut and ensure that the bearing is slotted into the bore. Lastly, replace the J 38834 and mount the balance shaft.

The tools necessary for balance shaft bearing and bushing replacement are a Bushing and Bearing Remover (J 26941) and a Balance Shaft Service Kit (J 38834). After taking off the balance shaft apply the J 26941 tool to anchor the legs at the rear bearing of the balance shaft. Insert the small threaded end of the J 38834-1 into the balance shaft bore at the engine block front and join it to J 26941. Place the J 38834-2 piece over J 38834-1 and align it with the balance shaft bore of the engine assembly. Locate the J 38834 bearing parts including washer and nut before fixing them on top of the J 38834-1. Turn the J 38834 nut clockwise with a wrench to remove the balance shaft rear bearing from the engine block through the J 38834-1. Discard the old bearing. Fit the new balance shaft rear bearing by attaching J 38834-3 first to the short threaded portion of J 38834-1 before adding the nut, washer, and bearing onto the long threaded end. Position the J 38834-2 front side to the engine block entrance and put it into the balance shaft front bearing bore. Place clean engine oil onto the balance shaft rear bearing then put it onto the J 38834-2 in its right position for mounting. Use a wrench to fasten the J 38834-1 while turning the J 38834 nut until the bearing sits evenly at the bottom of the bore. Put the balance shaft in its final position by fitting the J 38834.

The required tools to service the balance shaft are J 26941 (Bushing/Bearing Remover) and J 38834 (Balance Shaft Service Kit). Put the shaft in the J 26941 after taking it off first then anchor the legs at the rear bearing side. First put the J 38834-1 short threaded end through the balance shaft bore in front of engine block. Then press the J 38834-1 into the J 26941. Insert the J 38834-2 item onto the assembled J 38834-1 piece that goes through the balance shaft bore of the engine block. Insert the J 38834 bearing set with washer and nut onto J 38834-1 before fastening it. Use the wrench to rotate the J 38834 nut clockwise and remove the balance shaft rearmost bearing from the block. Discard the old bearing. To install the new balance shaft rear bearing apply the J 38834 tool by connecting the J 38834-3 piece to the short threaded end of J 38834-1 followed by installing the nut washer and bearing on the long threaded end. Insert the J 38834-2 into the balance shaft front bearing bore from the engine block's front with its small diameter facing out. Apply engine oil onto the new balance shaft rear bearing and set it onto the J 38834-2 while keeping it properly aligned for assembly. Use a wrench to fasten the J 38834-1 then turn the J 38834 nut until the bearing settles properly into its bore. Reinstall the balance shaft after you have taken out J 38834.

The required tools to fix the balance shaft bearing and bushing are a bushing and bearing remover (J 26941) plus the balance shaft service kit (J 38834). Take off the balance shaft while treating it with the front bearing as a unified unit. Clip the tool j 26941 behind the balance shaft rear bearing before fitting its short threaded component (J 38834-1) inside the engine block's balance shaft opening. Insert j 38834-1 into the balance shaft bore then link it to j 26941. Next position j 38834-2 over j 38834-1. Place the j 38834 bearing, washer, and nut on top of j 38834-1 and use a wrench to rotate the j 38834 nut clockwise for successful removal of the balance shaft rear bearing from the engine block. Discard the old bearing. Install the new balance shaft rear bearing using j 38834 by starting with j 38834-3 threaded onto j 38834-1 short side then adding the nut washer and bearing on the long threaded end. We insert the balancer shaft front bearing bore with j 38834-2 end that has a smaller diameter to the engine block's front side and put it into its proper place. Submerge the new balance shaft rear bearing in clean engine oil before inserting it properly on j 38834-2. Twist j 38834-1 with a wrench to push the bearing through the whole bore. Replace j 38834 using balance shaft tools.

Replacing both balancer shaft front and rear bearings needs the bushing and bearing remover (J 26941) and balance shaft service kit (J 38834). Before starting work you need to remove the balance shaft keeping its assembly with the front bearing. You can replace the balance shaft bearings using the j 26941 tool to hold the legs and the j 38834-1 tool with its short threaded end passing through the balance shaft hole in the engine block. Insert the short end of j 38834-1 into j 26941 before sliding the j 38834-2 onto the j 38834-1 and fitting it through the balance shaft bore of the engine block. Put the j 38834 bearing and washer on the j 38834-1 then fasten it with a wrench and turn the j 38834 nut clockwise to free the balance shaft rear bearing from the engine block. Apply clean engine oil to the new balance shaft rear bearing before fitting it onto the j 38834-2. Use hand tools to put the bearing in the proper position before using a wrench to fasten the j 38834-1 piece. Turn the j 38834 nut until the new rear bearing seats fully in the engine block bore. Put back the balance shaft once you have taken out its j 38834 support.

You must replace the balance shaft and front bearing together because they come as a single unit. Start with taking out the balance shaft before keeping on to take out the balance shaft rear bearing. Start by placing the balance shaft rear bearing first before you put the balance shaft into position.

The necessary tools for this task include J 26941 (Bushing/Bearing Remover) and J 38834 (Balance Shaft Service Kit). Put the balance shaft aside and insert the J 26941 tool to fix the legs behind the back of the shaft's bearing. Twist the J 38834 nut clockwise with a wrench and place the J 38834 bearing along with its washer over the J 38834-1 before tightening it until the balance shaft rear bearing leaves the engine block. The old balance shaft rear bearing should be replaced in this step. To install the new balance shaft rear bearing insert the J 38834-3 onto the small threaded end of the J 38834-1 and then attach the bearing components on its long threaded end. Insert the smaller diameter end of part J 38834-2 into the balance shaft front bearing bore with the J 38834-1 positioned correctly on the end. Apply clean engine oil onto the new balance shaft rear bearing and set it onto the J 38834-2 by ensuring correct alignment. Use a wrench to tighten the J 38834-1 until the balance shaft rear bearing fits completely into its bore space. Put the balance shaft into position by fitting the J 38834 attachment.

When selected parts of the balance shaft require replacement it is essential first to take out the balance shaft then remove its rear bearing but keep the package unit composed of the balance shaft and front bearing intact during maintenance work. Start your work by putting in the balance shaft rear bearing first and then set the balance shaft into place.

Servicing the balance shaft and its front bearing needs to be done together. Do not separate them for service. Uninstall the balance shaft first before removing the balance shaft rear bearing (Balance Shaft Bearing or Bushing Removal). Begin the installation process by putting the balance shaft rear bearing (Balance Shaft Bearing or Bushing Installation) before you put the balance shaft (Balance Shaft Replacement).

The tools necessary for balance shaft bearing and bushing replacement are a Bushing and Bearing Remover (J 26941) and a Balance Shaft Service Kit (J 38834). After taking off the balance shaft apply the J 26941 tool to anchor the legs at the rear bearing of the balance shaft. Insert the small threaded end of the J 38834-1 into the balance shaft bore at the engine block front and join it to J 26941. Place the J 38834-2 piece over J 38834-1 and align it with the balance shaft bore of the engine assembly. Position the J 38834-2 front side to the engine block entrance and put it into the balance shaft front bearing bore. Place clean engine oil onto the balance shaft rear bearing then put it onto the J 38834-2 in its right position for mounting. Use a wrench to fasten the J 38834-1 while turning the J 38834 nut until the bearing sits evenly at the bottom of the bore. Put the balance shaft in its final position by fitting the J 38834.

You need two specific tools for this task: J 26941 Bushing and Bearing Remover plus J 38834 Balance Shaft Service Kit. Start your process by taking out the balance shaft. Insert the J 38834-1 tool into the balance shaft bore and put the J 26941 tool behind the balance shaft rear bearing. Insert the J 38834-1 into the J 26941 then position the J 38834-2 over the J 38834-1 after sliding it into the balance shaft bore of the engine block before putting on the J 38834 bearing, washer, and nut. Use the solid J 38834-1 nut with your wrench to tighten while rotating clockwise until the rear balance shaft bearing is out of the engine block. Remove J 26941 from the bearing to discard it. You can install the new balance shaft rear bearing using the J 38834 method by adding the J 38834-3 part on the J 38834-1 short threaded end before connecting the J 38834 nut, washer, and bearing to the J 38834-1 long threaded end. Place the J 38834-2 into the balance shaft front bearing bore while its small side faces forward of the engine block. Apply clean engine oil to the new balance shaft rear bearing and place it properly on the J 38834-2. Rotate the shaft to line up its components before tightening the J 38834-1 with a wrench. Turn the J 38834 nut to push both layers of the balance shaft until the hind bearing wholly enters its bore. Replace the balance shaft with the J 38834.

A technician needs Bushing/Bearing Remover (J 26941) and Balance Shaft Service Kit (J 38834) to fix the balance shaft bearing. First remove the balance shaft keeping safety glasses on at all times. Push the J 26941 legs behind the balance shaft bottom bearing then put the short threaded end of J 38834-1 through the balance shaft opening on the engine block front side. Put the J 38834-1 into the balance shaft bore on the J 26941 unit and thread together these two pieces. Handle and turn the nut clockwise with a wrench to take the balance shaft rear bearing out of the engine block using the J 38834, J 38834 bearing, washer, and nut attached to the J 38834-1. Discard the old bearing. Use the J 38834 to place the new balance shaft rear bearing where you start with J 38834-3 on its short threaded end of J 38834-1 then add the nut, washer, and bearing on the long threaded end. Put the J 38834-2 smaller end first into the balance shaft front bearing bore opening of the engine block. Install the balance shaft rear bearing by putting J 38834-1 parts in order and tightening it with a wrench after adding engine oil. Tighten the J 38834 nut into place by rotating it while pressing the bearing deeply into its bore. Afterwards remove the J 38834-1 part and place the balance shaft back in position.

To replace the balance shaft bearing or bushing, the following tools will be necessary: bushing and bearing remover (J 26941) and balance shaft service kit (J 38834). Start by removing the balance shaft with the understanding that the balance shaft and the front bearing are a package that need to be serviced without detaching the bearing from the shaft. Secure the legs behind the balance shaft rear bearing, using the bushing and bearing remover (J 26941), and then use the balance shaft service kit (J 38834) by threading the short threaded end of j 38834-1 through the balance shaft bore in the engine block. Link j 38834-1 to j 26941, slide j 38834-2 on to j 38834-1 into the engine block, and fit the bearing, washer and nut to j 38834-1. Use a wrench to pull out secure j 38834-1, and rotate the j 38834 nut clockwise to get rid of the rear bearing in the engine bloc, get rid of the old bearing. For installation, lubricate the new b, balance shaft rear bearing with clean engine oil and align it onto j 38834-2. Adjust the bearing for installation, fasten j 38834-1 with a wrench, and turn the j 38834 nut until the bearing is fully embedded in the bore. Finally, install the balance shaft service kit (J 38834) and reinstall balance shaft.

Lubricate the new balance shaft rear bearing with clean engine oil.
