    Q:
How to replace the drive belt and ensure proper installation and inspection on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for belt replacement requires Engine Mount elimination. You should use a box end wrench to rotate the Drive Belt tensioner clockwise until it frees enough tension for removing the Drive Belt. When installing the Drive Belt the box end wrench should be used to rotate the tensioner clockwise before installing the Drive Belt by connecting it last to the power steering pulley and replacing the Engine Mount. Please check the Drive Belt regularly because minor belt rib cracks will not impact functionality yet the belt has to be replaced immediately if it starts to slip or shows any missing sections of its ribs. The tensioner indicator should stay within defined boundaries since abnormal readings point to either a faulty belt or tensioner.
