    Q:
How to Replace and Install a Body Control Module Safely on Chevrolet Corvette? Posted by Customer
    A:
A Body Control Module (BCM) replacement requires that users turn off the Ignition Switch because electrostatic discharge can hurt bcm components. You can reach the bcm through the passenger side carpet fold then free the mounting tab at the bottom to detach the bracket before pulling up the bcm from its slots when you release the upper mounting tabs. To replace the Body Control Module (BCM) disconnect its harness connectors then pull it out of the vehicle. When installing the bcm make sure to keep the Ignition Switch in the off position. Use the bcm's harness connectors to attach them to the bcm while inserting the upper mounting tabs into their slot positions and pushing the lower mounting tab through the bracket to secure the bcm installation in place. Restore the carpet installation to its former location. New or replacement bcm installations require programming the unit according to the vehicle's current conditions.
