    Remove the generator battery control module clip from the upper battery box, press the locking tabs inward to remove the underhood fuse block cover, and then remove the nuts securing the battery cables to the underhood fuse block. Remove the battery cable harness clips from the battery tray, take out the left wheelhouse liner, and remove the starter terminal nut to detach the positive battery cable terminal from the starter. Remove the bolt securing the negative battery cable ground terminal to the engine block, and take out the battery cable clip from the engine wiring harness bracket before removing the battery cables from the vehicle.
