    Q:
How to replace the throttle cable on Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin accelerator control cable replacement by removing the air cleaner outlet resonator before detaching the accelerator cable slug from the throttle body pulley then separating the accelerator cable from the accelerator control bracket and engine bracket. The driver side knee bolster must be removed along with the process to unseat the accelerator cable retainer from the accelerator pedal lever. Pressing the accelerator tangs together allows you to pass the cable through the dash opening during removal. To install the new accelerator cable start by passing it through the front of the dash while making sure each of the accelerator cable cover tangs properly snaps into position. Route the cable through the slot on the accelerator pedal lever before placing the accelerator cable retainer correctly to rest inside this lever. Reattach the driver side knee bolster first and then link the accelerator cable between the accelerator control bracket and engine bracket before mounting the accelerator cable slug on the throttle body pulley and finally reinstall the air cleaner outlet resonator.

How to replace the throttle cable on Chevrolet Silverado 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Replacing the accelerator controls cable starts by removing the air cleaner outlet resonator followed by disconnecting the accelerator cable slug from the throttle body pulley along with removing the accelerator cable from both the accelerator control bracket and engine bracket. The next step involves taking out the knee bolster from the driver side and unseating the retainer from the pedal lever of the accelerator. The touchpoints of accelerator cable tangs should be squeezed before you force the cable through the front of the dash. To install the accelerator cable start by passing it through the dash opening from the front while making sure the accelerator cable cover tangs nest correctly into position. Put the accelerator cable into the slot on the accelerator pedal lever and position the accelerator cable retainer properly in place on the lever. The driver side knee bolster receives reinstallation while also connecting the accelerator cable between the accelerator control bracket and engine bracket followed by an attachment of the accelerator cable slug to the throttle body pulley before reinstalling the air cleaner outlet resonator.
