    Q:
How to camshaft position actuator magnet replacement on Buick Terraza? Posted by Customer
    A:
The procedures outlined in TSB#05-06-01-027 dated 09/16/05 explain replacing the camshaft position actuator magnet for all 2006 Buick Terraza, Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, SS, Malibu Maxx, Monte Carlo, Uplander, Pontiac G6, Montana SV6, and Saturn Relay models with 3.5 L or 3.9 L engines (VIN's N, K, 1 & RPO's LZ4, LZE, and LZ9). A T30 Torx Plus bit is the only tool allowed to restore or secure the camshaft position actuator retention fasteners to prevent any damage. Start by taking out the intake manifold cover before disconnecting the electrical connector of the camshaft position actuator magnet. Start by removing the two camshaft position actuator magnet bolts before removing the magnet with its O-ring seal. First place the O-ring and magnet in position before installing the magnet bolts and torquing them to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). The procedure ends by reattaching the electrical connector followed by putting back the intake manifold cover.
