    Q:
How to replace the A/C Condenser in the HVAC system on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
As the initial step to replace the hvac system condenser technicians must recover all refrigerant present. The procedure starts with Radiator removal before you cut the a/c line coupling free between condenser tube and evaporator tube. The procedure starts by removing the a/c compressor line nut from the condenser while placing the compressor line safely to the side. Afterward, take the condenser out of the vehicle. Throw away both o-ring seals and seal washer pieces. A new condenser requires installation of refrigerant oil during setup. Fitting the new condenser into the vehicle requires the application of both a new a/c compressor hose seal washer and new o-ring seals to the area between the evaporator and condenser tubes. Install the Radiator first and join the evaporator tube to the condenser tube before connecting the a/c line coupling to both tubes. When attaching the a/c compressor hose to the condenser always use a 20mm wrench or pliers to hold the A/C Condenser block fitting steady while torquing the a/c line nut. Use a 20 mm wrench or pliers to hold the A/C Condenser block fitting until you tighten its nut to 17 n.m (12.5 lb ft). The a/c system evacuation and recharging process concludes with a leak inspection of fittings through the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).

    Q:
How to replace the A/C Condenser on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the condenser replacement requires refrigerant recovery as the first step. The next step involves disconnecting both the Radiator and a/c line coupling where condenser tube meets the evaporator tube. The first step is to remove the a/c compressor line nut from its position on the condenser while you move the a/c compressor line out of the way before extracting the condenser from the vehicle. Throw away the o-ring seals as well as the seal washer. Apply refrigerant oil to a new condenser before you bolt it into your vehicle's frame. First attach new o-ring seals to the evaporator tube before you join the evaporator tube with the condenser tube. Install a new seal washer to the a/c compressor hose as you fit it to the condenser tube. Begin by connecting the a/c line coupling to the evaporator tube then to the condenser tube before securing the a/c compressor hose to the condenser. Tighten the a/c compressor hose block fitting nut to 17 n.m (12.5 lb ft) using a 20mm wrench or pliers that holds the A/C Condenser block fitting to stop twisting. After the installation of the Radiator complete the a/c system evacuation then recharge it while using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) to test for leaks.
