Washer Reservoir

You must lift the hood and keep it supported when replacing the windshield Washer Reservoir. Start by removing the upper fender support bar and bolt from the washer solvent container. You can reach the Washer Pump when you lift the container. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Washer Pump and remove the washer hose at that location. Pump out washer solvent from the reservoir into a suitable container before taking off the Washer Pump and cap unit from the container. Put the Washer Pump onto the new washer solvent container then fasten the cap. Plug the electrical connector onto the Washer Pump while you detach the Washer Pump cap and join the washer hose. Place the washer solvent container into the chassis holes and fasten it to the chassis with the bolt while tightening it to 10 n.m. After completing the work put back the upper fender support bar then fill and close the washer solvent container.

When replacing the washer solvent container start by opening and supporting the car hood then remove the upper fender support bar plus the bolt from the washer solvent setup. Use a lift tool to reach the washer hose and electrical connector locations on the Washer Pump unit and redo these two items to disconnect parts from the unit. Take the washer solvent container out of the vehicle to drain its reservoir contents into the proper container. Take the Washer Pump out from both the container and the container cap. Put the Washer Pump on the new washer solvent container and then add the cap. Join the power cord to the Washer Pump and take away its cap while you attach the washer hose. Fasten the washer solvent container to its chassis location with the bolt at 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque value. You should put back the upper fender support bar then add washer solvent into the designated compartment before shutting the hood.

First start by opening and supporting the hood to work on the washer solvent container more safely. You can replace the washer solvent container when you elevate it enough to take out the electrical connector at the Washer Pump and unplug the washer hose from the Washer Pump. Drain the Washer Reservoir into a safe recipient before taking out both the pump and cap from the container. Place the Washer Pump onto the new solvent container and secure it with the cap. Plug the electrical connector into the Washer Pump then take off the cap from the Washer Pump and link the washer hose. Use the chassis holding spots to place the washer solvent container before threading in the bolt and securing it at 10 n.m (89 lb in). Put back the support bar on top of the fender and refill the washer solvent tank before you shut the hood.

Lift the container open to reach both the washer hose and electrical connector before unplugging the electrical connector from the Washer Pump and removing the washer hose from the pump. Transfer the washer solvent container out of the vehicle after emptying its reservoir into a suitable receptacle. Fit the Washer Pump onto the new solvent container base and secure by dressing the cap. After joining the electrical connector to the Washer Pump detach the cap from it and join the washer hose. Place the washer solvent container onto chassis mounting holes and fasten it using the bolt until it reaches 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. Place back the support bar for the upper fenders and refill washer solvent in the container before putting the hood shut.
