    Q:
How to replace the brake master cylinder on Chevrolet Express 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Brake Master Cylinder replacement process starts with applying the park brake to disconnect brake pipes and seal them to block brake fluid from entering the system. Take off Brake Master Cylinder mounting nuts because they connect the Brake Master Cylinder to the Brake Booster. Lift out the Brake Master Cylinder from its position. Before adding the master cylinder begin bleeding its fluid system and place it onto the Brake Booster. Put on the Brake Master Cylinder mounting nuts and tighten them to 36 nm torque setting. Escape the brake pipe plugs then attach them to the Brake Master Cylinder while tightening its brake pipe fasteners to 30 nm torque (22 ft-lbs torque). Use a vacuum to empty the brake system fluid before you lower the parking brake.

    Q:
How to replace the brake master cylinder on GMC Savana 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start your Brake Master Cylinder replacement by activating the parking brake then blocking the wheels. Insert protection caps onto the brake pipe connection ends before removing them from the Brake Master Cylinder to avoid brake fluid loss and contamination. Separate the Brake Master Cylinder bolts and carefully pull the master cylinder from the vehicle after inserting caps into the exposed brake pipe ends. Empty all brake fluid from the reservoir of the master cylinder. Before attachment to the Brake Booster you should bleed the new master cylinder on a workbench first. Put the master cylinder nuts in place and tighten them to 36 nm (27 ft. Lbs.). Connect Brake Master Cylinder pipes to their corresponding opening and tighten each fitting to 22 ft-pound torque. End the process by draining brake fluid from the system while releasing the parking brake lock then taking away wheel blocks.
