Wheel Cylinder, Rear

To rebuild your Wheel Cylinder start by taking out its components which include bleeder valve, boots, pistons, seals, and spring. Check for damage to the bore and watch for thermal changes in the spring to make necessary part replacements. Soak the cylinder bore in clean brake fluid then scrub it until you remove all signs of scoring. When cleaning cannot eliminate the problem replace the Wheel Cylinder unit. Place clean brake fluid on the seals and Wheel Cylinder bore before inserting the spring, seals, pistons, and boots. Place the bleeder valve and fasten it with 7 nm (62 inch lbs.).

First to replace the Wheel Cylinder, then brake shoes than brake pipe and finally take out the Wheel Cylinder bolts before taking out the Wheel Cylinder. For installation, start with the installation of the Wheel Cylinder, following the fastener notice into service precautions. Next, install the Wheel Cylinder bolts and tighten them up to 18 nm (13 ft. Lbs.). Attach the brake pipe to the Wheel Cylinder and secure the brake pipe fitting to 17 nm (13 ft. Lbs.) lastly, fit back the brake shoes and bleed the brake system.

Firstly remove the brake shoes, then remove the brake pipe and the bolts in order to remove the Wheel Cylinder. For installation, start with installing a new Wheel Cylinder; make sure to install it according to the fastener notice of service precautions. After that,topromise, install the bolts and tighten them possessive to 18 nm (13 ft lbs.). Connect the brake pipe to the Wheel Cylinder and tighten the brake pipe fitting to 17 nm (13 ft lbs). Finally, refit the brake shoes and bleed the brake system.
