Start the installation of the shoulder/Seat Belt retractor assembly to the vehicle by carefully following the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the lower pillar shoulder/Seat Belt retractor retaining bolt while tightening it to 52 n.m (38 lb ft). Secure the front door lower and upper pillar garnish moldings then attach the shoulder/Seat Belt guide to the shoulder belt guide adjuster before you insert and tighten the upper shoulder/Seat Belt guide retaining bolt to 52 n.m (38 lb ft).

The front door upper and lower pillar garnish moldings need removal before dealing with the shoulder/Seat Belt retractor retaining bolt from the lower pillar before separating the shoulder/Seat Belt retractor assembly from the vehicle. The shoulder/Seat Belt retractor assembly should be installed onto the vehicle by following the guidelines provided in the service precautions fastener notice. Tighten the shoulder/Seat Belt retractor retaining bolt to the lower pillar hole with 52 n.m (38 lb ft) force. Secure the front door lower and upper pillar garnish moldings before fixing the shoulder/Seat Belt guide to the shoulder belt guide adjuster by tightening the upper shoulder/Seat Belt guide retaining bolt to 52 n.m (38 lb ft).
